Gay pride parades take to the streets: Dykes on Bikes changed their name, cowardly politicians (who don't care enough to talk to you issue proclamations about how important gay pride is (with the exception of Imperial Beach that said no way) and gays put on display every stereotype that we demand regular Americans pretend are not real.  With floats from "queer youth" being the center of attention - one really has to wonder how or when kids should get in trouble at school for using the same words about gay kids that they use to describe themselves?  Barack Obama is taking a tour - it seems the lowly Senator from Illinois thinks that taking a few days to tour Europe will make him qualified to be President of the United States.  Strange - using that criteria and the amount of time I've been abroad - I'm qualified.  The tour is a sham, the talk he's giving at the Nazi memorial is a joke and someone needs to ask him why is he campaigning for the American job in Europe?  Sure they love him, but there is a reason they have high unemployment and it is not because they have good policies: they have OBAMA policies.  Good luck America because it is either going to be McCain or Obama in 2009 and both are bad choices - we just have to pick the least bad.  Sad, but true.

July 13, 2008-

Couple of things: First - we'll dig deeper into the liberal left jubilation at the death of former Senator Jesse Helms of North Carolina.  Strange that a place with a huge number of blacks would keep electing a man that at least one of our callers is happy to see dead.  What an awful thing to say or even think.  SHOULD PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES SPEAK TO LA RAZA?  Barack Obama and John McCain are both speaking to the group at their conference in San Diego.  Obama said that ICE is taking babies from their mothers and McCain is pandering like crazy.  Neither of them should have gone to the group, but they are - and there will be a backlash. Tony Snow is dead.  You recall well Tony's tenure at the White House, but do you remember when he was on the program?  I only met Tony a couple of times and each time was a pleasure - he will be missed. Then: we take a gander at troops returning from battle and the challenges they face.  What can the government do better in helping our warriors transition from active duty?  A lot, but we start with some ideas and some help already out there.

July 6, 2008-

The BBC takes a look at the flipping and flopping of Obama and McCain.  Truth is that they all do it, but none of them just say that they changed their minds. Get a call about the death of Jesse Helms - sad thing is that the caller is happy.  We are going to explore this jubilation during the next program (when I'm not in an undisclosed location), but callers react violently to such a statement. As do I.  The man served his country and didn't cause harm to a single person yet there is happiness from his death.  Strange thing to be happy about someone you didn't know being dead.

June 29, 2008-

So the US Supreme Court decided in a 5-4 decision that Americans have the right to bear arms.  Strange the 4 of the 9 actually cannot find that right in the Second Amendment to our Constitution while they find abortion and sodomy there.  Odd huh?  Then there is the question of who would make a better Commander-in-Chief.  Barack Obama or John McCain.  According to Wesley Clark (the fired former 4 star general who headed up the Allies in Europe) the answer is Obama, but Clark was FIRED from a job that did not matter!  He was fighting the Soviet Union when the Soviet Union was no longer even a country anymore.  That is like getting fired from Burger King for selling too few of McDonald's McRibs!  I dislike John McCain, but doesn't years in a POW camp trump 20 years in the congregation of Jeremiah Wright?

June 22, 2008-

Barack Obama and John McCain fight about energy.  Obama wants you to do what you did (not that I can remember) when JIMMY CARTER was in charge.  McCain (and the American people) say DRILL and REFINE IN AMERICA. Polling data shows that California could be in play due to the debate over gay marriage.  In a state dominated by the left is it possible that a liberal GOP candidate could win it?  AND the Jewish vote is up for grabs in important states like New Jersey.  This is going to be an exciting election season - despite the fact that the candidates are not.   Get a call from Atlanta that someone didn't like a comment I made about women wearing burkas when Obama gets to the White House... can it be that I am speaking the wrong language - I didn't say that.  Interesting though.  THEN I put out the call for anything that Obama has done that was patriotic - not takers.  Go figure.

June 8, 2008-

So we have a nominee, but not everyone in the Democratic Party is happy about Barack Obama.  Hillary Clinton gives a lukewarm "vote for Barack" speech, but nobody believes it.  A little more feedback on my calls for understanding why Obama cannot get the Jewish, women or Hispanic vote. Lot's of opinions and it seems when I ask you to call you do as people are on hold until the end of the program and as usual we just can't get to you all.  There is always next time.

 Dog T-Shirt

Steve Yuhas, called a "rising star" in radio, hosts his unique take on current events and politics during The Steve Yuhas Show - dubbed Uniquely Conservative Talk Radio™. Heard live from San Diego to Santa Barbara; Mexico to Arizona and all over the world on AM 600 KOGO - San Diego's News & Talk Station.

From one entertainment reporter, "At first listen, Steve Yuhas sounds like just about any other right-wing talk-show host on the dial... His guests include the usual array of newsmakers and gadflies, and his running commentary is sprinkled with nasty zingers about liberals and Democrats. He buddies around with like-minded colleagues. And his arch-conservative opinions are reliably predictable."  It is not exactly that simple for this Jewish disabled former military man.

Honorably discharged from the Marine Corps and Army, Yuhas served from Texas to Germany; California to the Middle East. He believes that service to his country made him able to overcome the adversity that came after he sustained a spinal cord injury.  Now a Lifetime Member of the Disabled American Veterans as well as a member of Paralyzed Veterans of America - he works hard for military folks and veterans alike.

In a time when being a veteran is uncommon in public office, not to mention on radio and television, Yuhas brings a unique perspective to the field.  Guests have included everyone from the high ranking military men in our and other countries, secretaries of government agencies, local and national politicians and international leaders including former Prime Ministers and ambassadors from the world over.  Callers & Yuhas' unique biography make the Steve Yuhas Show unlike any other radio show.

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd Be Republicans

If Democrats Had Any Brains, They'd be Republicans

Uttering lines that send liberals into paroxysms of rage, otherwise known as ‘citing facts,’ is the spice of life. When I see the hot spittle flying from their mouths and the veins bulging and pulsing above their eyes, well, that’s when I feel truly alive.

Liberal Facism

33 Questions About American History You're Not Supposed to Ask

Woods argues that the history lessons schoolchildren learn are ideologically driven distortions aimed at producing citizens who believe that big government is good and big business is evil. He sets out to set the record straight.

America Alone

European and Islamic anti-Americanism, he explains, threatens to leave us isolated in the world: the global situation is rapidly reaching a point at which America will have to confront the enemies of civilization without help from anyone else.

The Truth About Hillary

Everyone knows that Bill Clinton wanted to be President of the United States ever since he was a boy. What almost no one knows is that his wife Hillary harbored the same ambition since she was a girl -- and that her plan from the very start of their marriage was to succeed him in the Oval Office.

The Audacity of Hope: Thoughts on Reclaiming the American Dream

Want to know about Barack Obama in his own words?  This is a re-print in paperback of his first book (not to be confused with the moderate looking read you get from his most recent literary endeavor).  Ignore the stuff about him as a teenager, but really find out about the guy who has a radical preacher and poor judgment who happens to also want to be President of the United States.

The General's War: The Inside Story of the Conflict in the Gulf

The Commandant of the Marine Corps believes this book to be important enough to be on the reading list of high ranking non-commissioned officers and lieutenant colonels in the USMC - so why not read it yourself?  VERY good background on the Gulf.
by Michael R.; Trainor, Bernard E. Gordon

On My Honor: Why the American Values of the Boy Scouts Are Worth Fighting for

Texas governor Rick Perry, through the legacy of the Boy Scouts of America, takes dead aim at the moral relativism of the secular humanist movement, indicting its corrosive impact on the culture. Examining the left's legal assaults on the Boy Scouts of America - which span more than 30 years - Perry offers prescient insight into the multi-faceted war, which pits the proponents of traditional American values against the radical leftist movement that seeks to tear down our social foundations.

July 27, 2008

Barack Obama makes a victory tour through Europe and they love it.  The problem is that he hasn't won anything yet - not even his nomination.  Strange to be seeking the American Presidency in Europe.

AND while he is in Israel and Jordan his campaign does not want to be seen as favoring the Hamas terrorist group (so he is forcing people not to wear green).  Yes, that will convince me that he is not the anti-Semite that I think he is.  A dress code: the Taliban had one too.

Barack Obama and his Visions of Grandeur

By: Steve Yuhas

The words of President George W. Bush were not new, but the visceral (and comical) reaction by the Obama campaign was.  In a speech to the Israeli Knesset to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Jewish state Bush told the Israeli lawmakers what he has been saying for years.  Simply put: talking to terrorists and the leaders of states intent on the destruction of both the West and Israel is and will always be a futile measure.

McNutty - sometimes the extraordinary gay news has to go in reverse.  A group is boycotting McDonalds because they do not like the policy that the hamburger joint has with respect to gay couples.  Strange place to spend time and energy. A group that opposes same-sex marriage has called for a boycott of McDonald's, saying the fast-food giant has refused "to stay neutral in the cultural war over homosexuality."

Liberals love Cuba.  Europe loves Cuba and the only people who care about democracy (small d people) in Cuba are Republicans and people in south Florida.  Now comes word that Cuba will not let gays march.  Uh Oh - where are you European Human Rights Commission?

The Queen of England - the real queen not just someone dressed unlike a queen - is in the middle of a battle over gays in the clergy of her church... yes her church.  As head of the Anglican Church Queen Elizabeth has a role in setting policy, but this may be a fight she wanted to stay out of.  The same fight we're having in America is the one they're having in the UK.  Gays in the clergy and gay marriage.  Oy.

Gays CELEBRATE the death of former Senator Jesse Helms.  Is there anything more disgusting than being happy that people are dead?  And gays wonder why people consider so many in the gay community extreme.  Helms' battles with the LGBT community were well-documented. When then-President Clinton wanted a lesbian for a post in the Department of Housing and Urban Development in 1993, the Republican told a newspaper, “I'm not going to put a lesbian in a position like that. If you want to call me a bigot, fine.”  A Chicago gay paper is exceptionally pleased with itself over writing about Helm's death.  Sick

Flying high (and gay): SAS is the Norwegian Airline and it launched a website for their gay clients (do gays fly or make reservations differently than straights)... and odd thing to do if you ask me.  "[SAS has] becom[e] the first European airline with a website dedicated to the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender/transsexual (GLBT) market. Even more unique, the website builds on SAS' popular crew tips, providing tips from its own gay crew of the best that Stockholm and Copenhagen has to offer.""

An Australian gay olympian is now a star - not because he won a medal or did anything yet (the Olympics in Commie China have not happened yet); rather, he is a star because he opposes Australia's Prime Minister.  Not about the war, but on gay marriage: "When Matthew Mitcham casually mentioned to a reporter that he lives with his boyfriend Lachlan, he inadvertently generated headlines across the world.  In an in-depth interview with Sydney gay publication SX News, he spoke about coming out at 14, being a role model for gay youth and his unhappiness with Prime Minister's attitude to gay marriage."  Not a bad story, but the guy did nothing - all he does is disagree with a politician.  Slow news day?
